Photoshop Tutorials

I have a bit of experience in Photoshop for cropping and small edits of blemishes on profiles. I love this video as this is the same creator of the Adobe Illustrator in 5 minutes. He explains things simply but is quick on the uptake. I find this video helpful for learning the basic tools used in Photoshop as some may want to make small minimal changes to images.

Now this video was extremely helpful in a more advanced level as he went more in depth with tools such as the blending tool and layering. He shows how to use masks, the selection tool and many others for his self portrait image for his instagram account. The common part on both videos is how to create a new file, but he goes more in depth with his explanation. In quick succession, he was able to change his image with colors, blends, gradients, and texts all within 13 minutes.

This one was more interesting as this was two images fused into one seamlessly. This is about an hour long video but it explains way more in depth on how layers are used along with different masking‘s. I like this video because it explains how to properly blend colors and images together to make it look more natural. He was able to show how to use sliders for shading, contrasting, saturation in order to make the astronaut blend in with its scenery. He even teaches about the horizon line within images so that way you’re able to accurately scale an image to a different background. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and will look back on it to make more projects like this one.

Photoshop can be quite overwhelming when you jump in without any proper knowledge of the program. Thanks to people posting short and simple tutorials on YouTube it makes learning these programs so much faster and have much more access to these than in the past. Photoshop is a remarkable program that can truest let the creative processes flourish without much limitations. I can’t wait to see what other projects me and others create with this application.
